Hi

I can't say I am "experienced" but I recently bought a "Solio Mono  
Hybrid" (sounds like a disease).  It can be charged from several  
sources as well as the sun.  Using only the sun, bright and all day,  
it seems to charge to about 20%.  But it does charge my phone  
(Blackberry Bold) to full capacity  when it's charged to 40%.  It is  
small and comes with a "beaner" to hang it from your pack.  Brian
