[pct-l] new Montrail trail runners for the desert

I just tried out a pair of the new Montrail trail runners called "Streak"
and I wanted to give a plug on here in case anyone is looking for trail
runners with the weight/breathability of regular running shoes for the
desert section this year.
My size 11.5 weigh only 25.5oz for the pair which is about exactly the same
as my size 11 New Balance (non-trail) running shoes. The Streaks are almost
entirely mesh so breathability is nearly like wearing sandals, but the soles
are much more protective against rocks than standard running shoes (the
soles feel like they'll give better protection against rocks than even my
clunky, heavy (34oz for the pair) New Balance 806 trail runners. The toe box
area is also nice and big even for my fairly wide feet. I'll have to test
them out more over the next few weeks, but right now they are looking like
the best shoes I've found yet for the PCT.
