[pct-l] Pre-stocketd Calories

He, he, he, he.....very funny Mags!!!!
But, you know what they say about beer kegs.....loaded with
calories......and that is exactly what it takes to break records....lots
of calories.
When Michael Popov and Aaron Sorensen went after my "Unsupported JMT
record" in 2007 they hauled a huge beer can, the
size of a beer keg, all the way up to Trail Camp and then spend the next
2 days doing some serious calorie stocking.
And you know, it worked ....Michael went on to set a new "Unsupported
JMT" record.
Coming to think of, Joe also looked like a "keg on legs" at the start
of his successful PCT record attempt last year with Scott.
Joe is a firm believer in "pre-stocked calories".

It seems to me that those that are powered by "BUD" are the winners.

Perhaps I should change my hiking diet to a liquid, powered by "BUD",
diet and strap a beer keg on my pack instead.
I would not need a stove, fuel, cooking pot or a bear canister.....the
keg will be the bear canister.
Also I would never be at risk of dehydration, but most important......I
would be a happier and more jovial camper and that my
friends is what it's all about.

JMT Reinhold
Your soon to be powered by "BUD" jovial trail companion
