Here is a website I like that has everything including coffee singles that
taste pretty good on the trail.

Of course most edible things taste good when you've been hiking all day.
Have fun on your hike!

Subject: [pct-l] Good coffee ?

I'm going to push my luck, because I got 3 great replies to my re-supply
question that I posted only 3 hours ago. Thanks to all three of you for the
quick reply !! I'm going to mail that resupply package to the PO box.

My partner likes brewed coffee. I'm arguing he can't take it because of the
mess and hassle and weight. He hates freeze-dried anything. :) I remember
seeing quick (and I believe ground) coffee in individual filled filters
somewhere but can't remember where. Basically you dropped the filled coffee
filter in your cup and poured hot water over it and let it steep (like a tea
bag) for 3 minutes. Anyone got any idea where this (or these) products are
available? I've tried Trader Joes, REI, and local grocery stores. The last
place I remember seeing them was at a Food for Less store in Medford,
Oregon. However, I'm currently in Vancouver, Washington with excellent
access to the Portland area but no one knows what I'm seeking. :(

We are hitting that John Muir Trail Aug 17 and I hope (or maybe not) that we
return to civilization by Sept 15 and probably earlier. This is an item on
my bucket list for those of you over 50 like me who started such a list once
they saw the movie last year.
