...SNOW IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE SIERRA NEVADA FRIDAY...

.A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN OFF THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA
COAST THE PAST FEW DAYS WILL MOVE INLAND FRIDAY. THIS WILL BRING
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE SIERRA NEVADA. COLDER AIR
WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL LOWER SNOW LEVELS DOWN TO ABOUT 7500 FEET
FRIDAY FROM YOSEMITE TO KINGS CANYON.

PDT FRIDAY FOR THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA FROM YOSEMITE TO KINGS
CANYON...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...FOR THE SOUTHERN SIERRA
NEVADA FROM YOSEMITE TO KINGS CANYON...REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM
TO 9 PM PDT FRIDAY.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE SIERRA NEVADA
TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. HEAVIEST AMOUNTS OF PRECIPITATION WILL OCCUR
FRIDAY...WITH SNOW LEVELS LOWERING TO AROUND 7500 FEET. SNOW
AMOUNTS OF UP TO 5 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ABOVE 8000 FEET. THIS WILL
AFFECT TIOGA PASS IN YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK.
