Some good jerky on the trail is a treat.? I use turkey jerky from Trader's Joe.? Here is a way to keep your jerky more moist and flavorful.? 

Put a piece of apple in your air tight jerky container.? Now your jerky will stay better tasting and moist for longer on the hot dusty trail.? 

Also, look for a meat shop in your town.? Often they make jerky that is super fresh and in unique flavors.? For you vegans, etc., forget this post and my humble apologies.
