Over 250 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail are at risk — and you have the
opportunity to save the first of those miles today.
Just outside of Ashland, Oregon, one mile of the Trail runs through a
153-acre parcel known as the Keene Creek property. The private landowner
must either sell the property or raise the cash by selling a conservation

of the hands of developers. The Pacific Crest Trail Association has

The current federal easement on the property is substandard. It allows for
timber harvesting, grazing, mining, and the building of structures as close
as five feet from the Trail.

*With less than one week to go, we may not get a second chance to save our
First Mile.* We are poised to permanently protect this beautiful section of
