Last year I was joined by another hiker from Tuolumne Meadows to Ashland.
We used her Whisperlite. I don't remember not finding fuel, but we did have
my alcohol stove as a backup. In a couple of cases buying a full gallon
would have been required, as it was the only size available.

Subject: [pct-l] white gas ?
I am going to be hiking the PCT using a MSR simmerlite stove, which only
uses "White Gas". Is "White Gas" easy to find in the towns ? What product
should I be looking out for ? i.e Colemans. What have been other people
experiences of finding "White Gas".
Is "White gas" the same thing as naphtha fuel ?
Thanks
Brendon
