[pct-l] Bear stories?

Last year we were camped at Vidette Meadows in late July. We had left Onion
Valley that morning and had just arrived in the early afternoon. We were
setting up camp when a deer came charging wild-eyed into camp right at us.

The deer sees us and comes to a halt, and then slowly takes off. We all think
that's pretty strange, none of us had ever been under deer attack before.
what's up?

We look across Bubbs Creek and see this:

He paid us no mind, just kept cruising down Bubbs, casually rolling over
downed logs as though they were nothing.

Three years ago three of us were headed up Shepherd Pass. Our friend took off
up the pass while my gf and I had a snack and got our crampons out. We took
our own sweet time about it, then headed up the pass.

We get to the top and our friend and this group of fellows from Houston are
all excited to see us. We thought they were awestruck by our superior snow
climbing skills.

"Wow, we thought that bear was going to grab your food down there!"

"What bear?", we ask. "THAT bear!" We look behind us and plowing up the pass
right behind us was a bruin. He'd followed us all the way up. He sauntered on
over the pass and made a beeline for Tyndall Creek.
