Scott,
back on Jan. 31st. I started publishing a series of first-hand accounts from
hikers who have had or witnessed acts of heroism/bravery on their thru
hikes. The struggles most thru hikers have with shoe-related issues and
blisters can be extremely difficult and painful. You may have been able to
avoid it all with more thorough preparation, but once it starts, it's a
battle of will over pain and deserves mention.
