Yeh, I know my kids are like that, but they are older than about half the 
PCT thru-hikers. And big enough to not take any guff like this on the trail.

Actually they get along rather well with nearly everyone. ;)

Yes!! Your children running around off leash drive me crazy too!
They're noisy, run off trail, tend to be out of control and tend to
PISS me off!  I keep telling parents they need to control their kids
but they act like it's not their problem their kids are out of control
and try to blame it on everyone else.

I'm done ranting now.

FWIW, I like seeing well behaved kids on the trail.
