[pct-l] Bear Canister Options

I have been lurking for several weeks but I could not resist chiming in regarding the bear canisters.  I traveled the JMT in October '08 and used a Bearikade Expedition and packed 9 days of food easily.  I could not eat all of the food so I am sure that it could cover more than 9 days.
 
I purchased 2 canisters at $275 each; one for myself and one for my girlfriend.  The 900 cu*in Expedition weighs 2lb 9oz which is a good compromise in my eyes compared to all of the other canister options.  The carbon fiber cylinder is strong and very lightweight as well as waterproof for hardcore river crossings.  My only problem is getting a lightweight pack that can handle the 9in diameter cylinder.
 
I initially questioned the value of the purchase but am totally sold on its benefits after the JMT.  I am planning to carry it along the entire PCT this year.
