Dogs are also not allowed in most, if not all, state parks in California.
The first is Anza Borrego, which you pass through briefly before Scissors
Crossing (often day 4) and again north of Warner Springs around Chihuahua
Valley Road. Then there's Mt. San Jacinto State Park (briefly visited) and
more further north. Rangers are not often found on the PCT in Borrego, but
not infrequently on San Jac.
