[pct-l] Interesting Hiker Box Stuff

One thing I will never ship myself again.. OATMEAL!
In every hikerbox I found oatmeal. Steel Cut, Quick oats, Flavored, you name it. Too bad I was not born a horse, I could have had free food the whole way to Canada.
I wont even go into my experimental Ovaltine/Protein powder/Instant Coffee mix I made for the trail.. Except to say Bob Dole tried it and said: "This ain't the good kind!"
There was also an amazing array of mystery foods. Usually an inocuous looking ziplock filled with.. Freezedried what-ch-ma-call-it.
Okay, I was the guy putting the tubes of anchovie paste into the hiker boxes! It tasted so good BEFORE the hike.
 What weird items did Y'all find in a hiker box?(any year or trail)
