Got the older version of the same bag in down and it's pretty cushy. It's
really important to get the correct integrated sleeping pad for these bags
IMHO.

Has anyone had any experience with the Big Agnes "Fly". I have had the Big
Agnes Seedhouse 1 (2.4 lbs) and have loved it - it appears as if they took
the same design and shaved a whole pound off for a final weight of 1.4 lbs.

We're in love with our Six Moons Design's "Lunar Duo" because of its ample
space, headroom, and dual vestibules. I hear equally good things about
TarpTent's Rainbow. We use Tarptent's "Squall" and "Virga" for single person
outings. Check them out at:

Both of the designers and company founders are PCT thru-hikers, and
wonderful members of our hiking community. Either way you can't go wrong .
. . the hard part is choosing!

I'll be hiking with my daughter, so the shelter will need to be big enough
for two people, though we aren't super big people.

There are some reviews on the net somewhere. That is pretty light for a two
person shelter, but do you need a such a big shelter?

Ditto on the Silshelter or if you want to go even lighter and have the $,
there is the one person GG Spinnshelter:

You could always get one of the various bug nets variations to use when bugs
are a problem.
