Ever hear of the 'political base'? Whether you're a left or a righty it's 
about 30% of each side, or 60% of the total population.

Here's the scary part, 60% of the population will never abandon their 
kool-aid, they will never embrace logic or rationality or entertain a new 
(or old) concept. Whether you're from California or Oregon it makes no 
difference.

The silver lining is we'll never be completely, collectively wrong. One side 
or the other will saves us from driving the wagon off the cliff.

Here's the really good news. Having been to a few different countrys, I 
cannot think of a better COUNTRY than this. The perceived 'problem' we are 
discussing is the very thing that makes us great.
