As you venture down to Scissors Crossing, plan on 100+ dry desert degrees. Also, the water caches will more than likely be dry. If you can arrange for water to be placed there as well as on the next leg to Barrel Spring, I suppose it's doable but it will not be pleasant!

Also, the Mojave which you will encounter several weeks in the future can be as hot as 120+ degrees. 

Think and plan carefully!
