Canada refuses entry to anyone who has a DWI conviction, no matter how  
long ago it happened.  There are some loop holes.  If you pay them a  
high fee , you can go in, but then they know for sure about you. From  
then on, you are require to prove " rehabilitation" which requires  
filling out paperwork and paying a $700 fee to remedy the issue.  They  
send you a rehab letter that you have to show each time you want to  
get in.  The re-entry into the US is done on the US side, no Canada is  
involved in that.
