Regarding the Pacific Crest Trail: 

117 miles or 4% is above 10,000 feet 
283 miles or 10% is between 8,000 and 10,000 feet 
782 miles or 29% is between 6,000 and 8,000 feet 
956 miles or 36% is between 4,000 and 6,000 feet 
459 miles or 17% is between 2,000 and 4,000 feet 
53 miles or 2% is under 2,000 feet
