[pct-l] my first backpacking trip

I'll only answer #1 and #2.

Generally all the aches and pains lessen as you get conditioned to 
backpacking. But like any activity, if you don't do it for a while and 
then go back, you are going to have aches and pains again.  It is mostly 
conditioning, not experience, that determines how you body will feel 
from carrying the load and hiking the miles.

With a well fitting pack, you should few and little pains from the pack 
itself other than getting use to carrying the load.  Lightening your 
load will also help.
