Talked with one of my hiking friends who  lives in the middle of Section C and he reports that most of the trail around Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead is passable right now.  At the 8000 ft level on North Face near Onxz and Holcomb will have patchy snow coverage.  What little snow is there tends to be softer and passable.  He also can see Fuller Ridge (end of B) from his house and it still looks completely snow covered.  Snow navigation  and a late spring storm are still issues for early hikers .........so be careful out there.
