[pct-l] night hiking in the desert

I did most of the Hat Creek Rim at night.

About midnight I heard a strange rustling in front of me in the dark
so I switched on my light, and there was a skunk in the trail with is
behind pointed at me doing his little "skunk dance" they do before
they spray you..

I didn't know I could move backwards so fast...

I also hiked a bunch of the Mojave in the dark. Lots of that section
is on roads and is easy to follow at night.
