[pct-l] Water treatment question for the PCT community

I drank untreated water after Kennedy Meadows all the way to Manning,
including out of some skeezy ponds in Oregon. Never got sick, and it was my
experience that those who filtered/treated most fastidiously were the ones
who became ill.  This may be an outlier, but there you go...
