Either north from 35 or maybe further south from Pamelia Lake to Ollalie.
The stretch north from 35 about 4 miles in, then you get above treeline and
stay there for breathtaking mountain views till you get past Paradise Park.
You could come out at the Ramona Falls trailhead.
The stretch from Pamelia to Ollalie gives you easy in and outs as does the
Hiway 35 section.
There's no water worries on either of these after the end of July but there
can be a lot of snow before that. Depends on the year. Either of these
would take a very easy, non-thru hike pace of 3 to 4 days. If you want to
really see some stuff, go into Jefferson Park and hike the lakes increase of
bombing thru. You can spend a week in here either going in from Pamelia Lake
or the main trail in, whose name escapes me but is north of the Pamelia
trail.
If you want a faster hike a week would get you from Ollalie to Columbia
Gorge. There are a couple of boring spots, north of Timothy and north of
Olallie.
