[pct-l] First PCT Segment

[Rookie Hiker]

First post - new to the list.  I want to hike a piece of the PCT in 
Oregon next summer.  My best friend, who is from Michigan and an 
experienced hiker, will accompany me.  I was thinking of doing a section 
of the trail, maybe from Govt Camp south to highway 20 or 22.  My 
initial questions are: Does that seem reasonable?  About how long would 
it take?   OR - is there a better piece of the trail to try?
