The only funny thing that is involved in this story is your
calling Walmart capable of a "Commie plot."  I think the 
appropriate term would be a capitalist plot.  Let's put 
blame where blame is due.

That being said, I recently bought a simple am/fm radio at 
Radio Shack, or to have multiple use, try the mp3 player 
by Creative (MuVo V100 2GB) which weighs about 2 oz. and 
has a built in FM radio for about $30.
