Switchback replies:?Yes, it is another close call.? Another brush with death, but I am too experienced with the wily ways of Mother Nature.? I am sitting here in the warm motel and their computer thinking about my next move.? I think it will be either down to Lone Pine or back to Las Vegas.? Let's see, I have been gone one night on this expedition.? I miss my dog.? I miss my big screen TV.? I miss my favorite eatery.? I miss the nice weather in Las Vegas this time of year.? I think I will head back home Saturday.? This is obviously enough adventure and I think I have taught Mother Nature a good lesson.? Don't mess with Switchback.? We mountainmen are not to be triphled with.? We a rough lot and raw around the edges.? We do not fit easily into normal polite socity, but welcome?the ravages of Mother Nature.? Yes, my work is done here.? It is time to give the mountains a break and let peace and quite return to the Sierras.
