You can make your own hand sanitizer for pennies from Grain Alcohol (at the 
liquor store), a small amount of glycerin and aloe vera juice. I packaged 
mine up in small Nalgene bottles and used it religiously on my section hike.

I can dig out the 'recipe' if needed.
