We got our first real rain last night. Not enough to get any seasonal 
streams flowing. But plenty enough to make me want to get out there and 
start training. I love the smell of wet pine needles. Walking in the rain is 
so nice and cool and reminds me of the showers in the Sierras. All the 
weekend warriors huddled in there tents as you pass them by. Ahh... If it 
were not for the short days and long nights this is my favorite time of the 
year.
