[pct-l] Pct-l Digest, Vol 11, Issue 30

Only incident I'm aware of happened a couple years ago.  A thru-hiker, 
John Donovan (?), got lost and wandered away from the trail, made a 
camp, then left the camp and eventually got himself stuck in a canyon 
and died. Was written up in Backpacker magazine as well as being 
discussed on this list when it happened. Some list members even went 
searching for him.
