Some interesting data from Warner Springs Ranch

The Ranch can easily count the number of hikers who check in requesting the
PCT hiker rate.  It seems likely that this will include most (though not
all) hikers who pass through Warner Springs.

As of yesterday (May 26) 431 hikers had checked into 208 rooms and stayed a
total of 321 nights.  A few more are trickling in (I saw 2 coming in as I
left yesterday).   

A quick check showed that the 2008 revenue from hikers was a bit more than
twice as large as in 2007.  So based on these data, there seems to be twice
as many hikers on the trail this year.
