just wanted to check in from Warner Springs and say that, as far as i know,
and i have been here for more than a day now, that the hiker behavior in
warner springs is great. even though there are lots of us, people are being
cool, saying their pleases and thank yous, and generally acting the way they
should. so far so good.

maybe there has been one asshole in the bunch, it always happens, but the
vast majority of people here are cool.

and many folks are making calls about the fire, so that is being figured out
as well....the bottleneck is a shame, creating another herd, or "re-herding"
the herd, but that cannot be helped right now....
