Well, Orland Bartholomew did it solo in the winter of 1928-29. He
actually started at Horseshoe Meadow on Christmas Day and made the first
winter ascent of Mt. Whitney, reaching Yosemite Valley on April 3. He
cached most of his supplies in the summer, but did take zeros at
Independence and Bishop.

I have met one other person who skied most of it some winters ago. As
already said, anything is possible for the right person with the right
motivation.
