Actually it this area is officially still closed. They will be working on the detour as soon as the snow melts which hopefully will be before the Thru hiking season.
Here is the C/P from the SBNF website.
Pacific Crest Trail - Big Bear Area- The PCT will remain closed from the 3N16/Holcomb Creek crossing on the west side (approx. 2 miles northeast of Crab Flats), to 2N09 (Polique Canyon Rd.) . Little Bear Springs trail camp is closed to public use, due to Butler 2 Fire. A PCT trail reroute is being developed.
There is a myriad of dirt roads between Polique Canyon and Crab Flats but my guess of reroute would be most likely be to the south
2N09
2n71
3n12
3n14
3n93
or to the north
2n09
3n16
3n08
3n14
3n97
3n16
Both of these reroutes would be through the burn area and would be adding 20 or 30 miles with the middles getting near the PCT near Little Bear Springs. Hopefully they will have the PCT open by mid May when the thruers get here.
If I was a betting man I'd guess they's choose the Southern Route to keep the hikers closer to civilization but since I am not a betting man I'd say there will be zero enforcement and most will stay on the PCT.

I noticed that the Water eport has a detour listed around the Holcomb creek
area. Does anyone know if this detour is still in effect and how much
mileage it adds to the trail.
