[pct-l] Steripen Problem

Haven't done much BPing recently. However I'm old-fashioned. I use a
saturated iodine solution to disinfect water when I think necessary. The
iodine crystals don't go bad and last forever. However the crystals
gradually dissolve away to create the solution you use to disinfect water.

Also, once I add the iodine solution and shake to mix it in my canteen, I
then upend the canteen and let a little of just treated water slosh around
the threads, etc. of the bottle. then tighten the lid and wait the
appropriate time.

I've never gotten sick from water on the trail.
