[pct-l] Desolation Wilderness

Scott and I talked with a thru hiker last week here in Truckee.  He  said 
there was still a lot of snow south.  I hiked from Old 40 south last  night and 
ran into some snow mounds but nothing that I couldn't make it  through.  Eric D 
is coming thru soon and I will post the conditions after I  see him.
I want to thank everyone for there support with Scott's and  Joe's hike.  We 
really appreciate all the love being sent our  way.  I want to thank Donna and 
Reinhold for bringing up the point  that Scott and Joe are on a time 
schedule.  So if you run into them it  would be great if you respect their time 
constraints and don't be offended  if they don't spend a lot of time with you or 
pass you quickly.  They only  have one thing on their mind and that is to get to 
Canada as quickly as  possible.  Well, I am sure they are thinking about how 
hungry they are  as well.  Ha Ha.  Hope everyone is enjoying the start of the 
hiking  season.  The temps are rising here so the snow will be melting fast.
