The Clover fire in the South Sierra Wilderness grew Sunday to more than 730
acres.

About 60 firefighters and a helicopter are battling the blaze that is moving
north, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
The drop in humidity and increasing winds caused the fire to grow. Hazy
smoke can be seen from Kennedy Meadows, Ridgecrest and in the Kern Valley
communities.

Firefighters continue to monitor the fire and assist hikers through the
Pacific Crest Trail portion of the fire area during the day.
