[pct-l] getting to tuolumne aug 8

Hello. I’m section hiking the PCT/JMT from Tuolumne to Whitney Portal, flying into Reno the morning of Aug 8th.  I know there’s a bus from Reno to Lee Vining and such, and a bus the next day to Tuolumne, but I’m wondering if I can get to Tuolumne in one day instead of 2.  Also, it looks like when I get to Whitney Portal, I’ll have to get to Lone Pine, then catch a bus to Bishop, and then catch another bus to Reno which doesn’t leave until early am, so the process coming out of Whitney could take 2-3 days.  With a limited amt. of time off, I’m interested in ride sharing or hiring a driver or some way of shortening the non-hiking portions of my trip.  Any suggestions?
