After poking around a bit more, I found the tabular data and see that 
they're less dramatic
than the averages imply.  Even those SNOTELs that show still 50+ inches I'd 
expect to be
essentially clear of snow by Sept, or significantly reduced at least.

Thanks to all for helping a new hiker come up the learning curve, and thanks 
for constructing
the Postholer site... lots of good info.
