In Oregon July 29,  Danjiro reports bailing east of Mt. Jefferson due to HEAVY amounts of snow 
and recommends Ice axe and crampons north of Hwy 20  Santiam Pass.

The Panther fire now 4000 acres, 5 miles West of PCT Marble Valley, west of Etna

Geomac satellite analysis indicates growing in all directions.

The Rich Fire, 4 miles east of Belden, 2500 acres in first 15 hours. both sides of Hwy 70.
This may distract the Plumas National Forest from opening the PCT between the
LaPorte-Quincy Rd and Belden.

Telegraph Fire is 32,000 acres SW of Yosemite, and took out power to Yosemite 
July 27. Hwy 140 closures.
