"On July 26 a firefighter was fatally injured on the Panther fire near
 Happy Camp, California. 
The firefighting community extends condolences to the family and friends

Panther Fire,   554 acres July 27  1800,  started July 24.
  5 miles west of PCT at Mile 1630.4  Marble Valley FS ranger station
   Estimated fire location is between King Creek and Ukonom Creek

 This fire has been growing although it is actually farther from the PCT 
  than the Anthony Milne fire estimated at 1634 acres in the Bear-Wallow complex.
