Hi Matt:

Can't respond back to you via the PCT-l because for some reason, I haven't received any email granting digest let alone posting privileges even though I signed up almost a week ago.

The latest I've read on Jeff Park is here: http://www.portlandhikers.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=277&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Still a lot of snow in the higher elevations of the Breitenbush area from what I've "heard". Don't know personally since I've been doing the westerly/southerly trails at lower elevations.

There's also a FS alert put out about the PCT and McKenzie Highway (242) outside Sisters, as it is closed until (I think, don't quote me) Labor Day due to the late heavy snow pack and replacing two bridges. Obviously, closure = no hitch opportunities.

If I can get access to the PCT-l, I'd offer to help get hikers to Bend/Sisters if given enough notice since I'm staying in Bend for the summer. But if I can't get on PCT-l to post and let folks know of my intentions, then I guess I won't this season and plan better for next year if I'm still near the trail.
