I came to late to this one and don't know what the question is, but I just
Northbound hiked the John Muir Trail and if your question is about snow I
can tell you 1- 2 weeks ago that there was snow on the North side of
Forester, Glenn and Mather-- none of it was insurmountable. The one somewhat
scary place for me, a lone hiker was the South side of Muir Pass. However,
lots of people are going through there, footprints pretty visible and the
snow is melting fast.
