Latitude:

July 12 report.
Significant Events: Slow progress in containment line construction. (lack of resources-terrain) Anthony Milne increased to 600 acres, Caribou increase to 300 acres. Red Flag conditions in area.
Remarks: The Bear Wallow complex consist of the Anthony Milne fire, 600 acres and the Caribou fire 300 acres. 0% containment. Spike Camp near Red Rock, Marble Wilderness. Continue line building objectives to keep the Fires contained in Wilderness area. Logistical support is critical to support crew efforts, Air support may be limited by Smoke/inversion.
Observed Fire Behavior: Active surface fire, Mostly backing and flanking with intermittent single/group torching with short flanking runs. Rolling material causing 1/4 mile runs, Increase fire size 200 acres.
Planned Actions: Crews fly in, spike out and continue indirect containment lines, prep for firing.

The Bear Wallow fire to the west is near the PCT in the Marbles, and I don't
know if it has burned across it. The PCT is now closed from Etna Summit to
the Marble Valley area. Sorry about this bad news.
