Anyone have current information on the smoke conditions in section P.? The Cal Fire map shows the Siskiyou complex fire northwest of Etna.

There IS smoke; that area is surrounded by fires though none particularly close (the closest being in Happy Camp, down River from Seiad Valley). You are in no danger from that fires. But, yes...there is smoke. How much? to what degree? I do not know. Regardless it will be totally different by the time you get there and then the day after that, etc...nature of the beast.

Enjoy even though you'll probably not see the most cherished parts of Siskiyou County and TRUE northern CA.
