I didn’t want to take all of the stuff they don’t allow on planes out of my
pack to travel, so when we flew back home from Reno last year we got some
cardboard and tape and made boxes that fit our packs (including our poles)
to check them. The boxes weren’t pretty, but they worked.

Subject: [pct-l] Hiking poles on airplanes
Am wondering how to handle my hiking poles when I fly to San Diego. Has
anyone had experience with this? Thanks.
