[pct-l] Pct-l Digest, Vol 4, Issue 27

Regarding visibility of the PCT in So Cal:
The summer storms of 07 in the Big Bear area delivered heavy rains causing
mud and debris slides down the upper portion of Mission Creek canyon.
(http://backpacker.trimbleoutdoors.com/ViewTrip.aspx?TripID=28494) The fires
of 2005 almost completely denuded the area, leaving the canyon vulnerable to
slides. In some portions the trail is completely covered. A topo and
compass will be useful. After the last northerly creek crossing, the trail
again becomes hard to miss.
