We've hosted Johnny Walker Red, but not Jack Daniels (yet). Lots of his
fans, though.

Reminds me of an experience that Eric Ryback describes in one of his books,
about his hike along the............ummmm, I think it was the CDT. He and
his brother were dying of thrist with no hope of water for miles. They
finally happened on a cabin in the middle of no where. Apparently there was
a barrel outside filled with cool, clear liquid. He took a big swig!!!!
Ah.........how refreshing! A big gulp of kerosene........or
gasoline........or something like that. (It's been awhile since I read the
book, but I remember the gist of the story).....EEEEEEEWWWWWW!!

Best solution: Wipe with Jack Daniels, or your own personal favorite hiking
compa nion!!! 8>). (This is not meant as a slam to any hiker named Jack
Daniels).

So when you are done with your baby wipes, you can eat them instead of
carrying alcohol to drink. This gives the dual use and helps to keep your
pack lighter. Reduce, reuse, recycle.

Another thing you can do (are you listening Switchback. There's money in
this one.) Sprinkle Emergen C, powdered Gatorade or any powdered drink on
it, before you eat it. They all come in a variety of flavors. Mixed
drinks. This is also important if your first use of the baby wipe is to
clean up.

Dual use, one item, good backpacking method.
