[pct-l] hiking with a little dog

Very true. We were at Whitewater Preserve this weekend for a NOLS WFA
course, and the coyotes were howling at noon. It was fun howling back and
having them respond.

While they're generally nocturnal, I think much depends on how hungry they
are and when their food sources are most active.

Coyotes nocturnal? Not at my house. They can be seen night and day. I've
also seen plenty in the desert during the day, High noon, yet.
