Just remember that there is no water at the end of Fuller Ridge
before you drop down into the valley.

You have to carry water from one of the creeks running off of San
Jacinto before you got onto the ridge or you can walk down the forest
service road four about a mile or a bit more. There are campsites
and creeks after a bit. This is Black Mountain Truck Trail, I'm
pretty sure Scott Williamson mentions this water source in Yogi's
handbook. There is also beautiful overlook into the valley (just
ignore the ugly pipe railings). If there is snow, you can fire up the
stove and melt some but it might be faster to walk the mile or so to
the creek.

Black Mountain Road is also a common way to rejoin the PCT after
skipping Fuller Ridge in high snow years or bad weather.
